New Course! Introduction to Bluetooth

by | Jun 1, 2026

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Bluetooth technology, covering the principles, architecture, and operation of both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This intermediate course explains how Bluetooth has evolved into one of the world’s most widely adopted wireless communication technologies and how it supports a broad range of applications across consumer electronics, industrial systems, healthcare, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Learners will gain an understanding of key operational procedures such as device discovery, connection establishment, pairing, bonding, and security. The course explains the mechanisms used to protect Bluetooth communications and highlights the importance of authentication, encryption, and privacy features in modern wireless environments.

In addition, the course explores the various network topologies supported by Bluetooth technologies, including traditional star-based connections and Bluetooth Mesh networking, which enables large-scale device deployments for smart buildings, industrial automation, and IoT applications. The differences between Bluetooth Classic and BLE are examined in detail, helping learners understand the strengths and use cases of each technology.
